Gintech shipping solar cells to Sharp
Taiwan-based crystalline silicon solar cell maker, began OEM shipments of solar cells to Japan-based Sharp in September
Gintech Energy, a Taiwan-based crystalline silicon solar cell maker, began OEM shipments of solar cells to Japan-based Sharp in September, according to a Chinese-language Economic Daily News (EDN) report.
Monthly shipment volumes are scheduled to increase from 10MWp in September to 20MWp in October and higher in November and December, the paper said. Gintech is charging Sharp US$0.31/W under the deal with Sharp providing materials, the paper claimed.
